Nuts & Bolts

This levy funds the essential 'nuts and bolts' of our schools—supporting some of the primary ways this money is used in our general fund budget include:

Personnel Costs: salaries & benefits for teachers, administrators, and staff

Educational Materials: textbooks, workbooks, software and classroom supplies

Utilities and Maintenance: electricity, water, and other costs to operate buildings

Transportation: fuel and upkeep for school buses

We are asking you to continue the support that the Boardman Schools have relied on for 30 years.

Budget Stability

With the new changes to the State funding formula in FY26, Boardman's foundation funding, state revenue, has been reduced by 20.38%.  This renewal protects critical student programming and maintains staff excellence without raising new taxes.

Home Values

Passing a school renewal levy is generally a positive for home values because it maintains school quality—a top priority for homebuyers.

Thanks to Ohio’s HB 920, a renewal keeps your tax rate stable rather than increasing it, as the law prevents tax growth even when property values rise. Ultimately, protecting school funding prevents a decline in neighborhood desirability, which keeps home values steady.
